ACT Prep

This week we toured Troy University and found out some wonderful things about what all Troy has to offer!
We are working on math problems for the ACT and will go  over them on Thursday.
Friday, I will introduce the class to the Greek alphabet!

PSYCHOLOGY

We are in Chapter 8: Sensation & Perception
We have many things to cover in this chapter, and an open note test is scheduled for next Thursday, December 11.

Friday-Tuesday (December 12-16), we will review for our final exam.
Final is on Thursday December 18.

ACT PREP

Thank you to Mrs. Holly Anderson for coming to ACT Prep this week for some math tips.
We also did an English practice test this week and talked about transitions.

PSYCHOLOGY

We are finishing Chapter 6 and will have an open note test on Thursday!

Psychology:

We are doing Chapter 6 "Body & Behavior"
We will discuss the nervous system, how the brain works, the endocrine system, and heredity and the environment.
We will test on Chapter 6 near the end of next week.

ACT Prep:

We will do one of the English ACT practice tests and review it this week. We will also get ready for our mock interviews.

ACT & PSYCHOLOGY

ACT PREP:

We are reviewing science words that are often seen on the ACT
We will also discuss the importance of manners and interviewing.

PSYCHOLOGY:
Vocab words for Chapter 10 were due today.
We will do a handout and review Tuesday and Wednesday.
Open note TEST on Chapter 10 on Thursday!

Reviewed for 9 weeks test today.  TEST TOMORROW, THURSDAY!


ACT Prep:
We took the our 9 weeks test today (Wednesday), and will do one of the SCIENCE practice tests tomorrow.

This week we are finishing up notes and handouts on Chapter 9.
I will review notebooks on Friday and give an open note test on Monday.

ACT PREP
Students researched 3 colleges today.
The remainder of the week, they will work on English and Reading handouts and do one of the ACT writing prompts!

This week in PSYCHOLOGY we will start Chapter 9
Learning: Principles & Application
     Section 1- Classical Conditioning
     Section 2- Operant Conditioning
     Section 3- Social Learning

This week in ACT PREP we will do an article summary, continue reviewing math exercises, and also do another ACT writing prompt

ACT Prep

We have worked the Math portion of the ACT this week and will check and review the answers. The class will also practice their writing skills by using the ACT prompt in the book.

PSYCHOLOGY

This week in Psychology, we have been taking notes and discussing Erikson's stages of psychosocial development. We are finishing out Chapter 3 and will have an open note test on Friday.

PSYCHOLOGY
We finished taking notes on Freud's stages of Psychosexual Development!
Friday, we will discuss Erikson's Theory of Psychosocial Development and carry that into next week.

We did the Science portion of the ACT this week and have been reviewing and discussing those answers.
We also practiced writing skills by completing a writing assignment: What America Means To Me!

We will begin Chapter 2 tomorrow (Thursday, August 21).
Vocab Words for Chapter 2 are DUE Friday, August 29!
